Policy Development

By design, United Virginia supports independent and non-partisan policy development and representation that is for the people first, and not for any given party. United Virginia is committed to facilitating policy development that is in the best interest of all Virginians by bringing disparate opinions together to create common sense policy. To achieve policy development that is for the common good of the Commonwealth, UV engages in the following activities:

* Research and Publishing: In the spirit of its mission to facilitate solutions by bringing together disparate political interests, United Virginia produces independent, non-partisan policy studies and recommendations utilizing various empirical research methods and tools.

* Issue Organizing: United Virginia has a large network of organizers that are experienced in mobilizing grassroots support for important issues. United Virginia's extensive database of organizers across Virginia includes a myriad of issue advocates, and individuals with media, marketing, government relations, and other forms of expertise essential to successful campaign efforts.

* Political Organizing: United Virginia organizers direct field organizing and fundraising efforts for campaigns. Organizers use social and traditional networking, database management, community events and other tools to build awareness, generate support and drive get-out-the-vote efforts.

* Education and Outreach: United Virginia has well-established volunteer organizations in its priority policy areas that can be utilized by well-networked organizers to grow and sustain community-minded educational efforts.
